Doctors, nurses and patient families at Cobh general hospital are completing their final fittings as they prepare to hit the cat walk on Wednesday 17 September for Cobh Community Fashion Show and Glam Expo. The event which takes place at the Commodore Hotel will include clothes from fashion designer Ernest Perryman and 15 fashion outlets from Cobh. Cost of entry is €5 per person. Doors open at 7:30pm.
Event co-ordinator Claire Cullinane says a great night is assured. “Fashion designer of note Ernest Perryman, who is celebrating 30 years in business this year, is Cobh’s bright and shining star of the fashion industry. He will come home again on 17 September as he has many times in the past supporting events in his home town for the last 30 years.”
Dr Harry Kelleher and Dr Paul McDonald will lead the parade of fashion clothing, showing off a variety of men’s and women’s casual, sport and evening attire. This enormous community event is hoped to generate as much money as possible for Cobh hospital which provides for the needs of Cobh’s families and ageing population.
Claire told the frontpagenews.ie “Having this service in the town helps to facilitate locals to end their days still in the heart of the community they have participated in for most of their lives. This is a perfect situation for their families also who can visit daily and know that their loved ones are safe and comfortable in the best care.”
Music on the night will be provided by Dinny with sound and lighting by Disco 2000.
