A group of nifty knitters have gotten together to raise funds for the Cobh Lions Club.
The group of 15 women from the Cobh Knit and Natter Group created Monty the snake from left over wool and polystyrene stuffing.
He will be wrapping himself around a pole outside the BMC over the regatta weekend on Saturday 16 August.
The public are asked to guess his length, each guess is €1.
Prizes for the closest guess include Aunt Nellies hampers, Cobh road train trip passes, passes for the Titanic Experience and Fota Wildlife Park Family Pass.
