Great Pride As Carrigtwohill Scoop Top Award

Recently Carrigtwohill took first place in the Cork County Litter Challenge 2014, beating runner up Kinsale and third placed Passage West.
Fine Gale Councillor Anthony Barry told the Frontpagenews.ie” for a group of people so active in their community this award gives great recognition for the great work they do. To achieve first place in the Cork County Litter Challenge is fantastic.”
A Carrigtwohill Tidy Towns Spokesperson said ” thanks to all our volunteers and our TUS Workers(SECAD), the Residents Association and all those who continue to work continually to improve our community. Without their dedication and commitment we wouldn’t have the successes we have. ”
Carrigtwohill have increased their score in the National Tidy towns since 2011 which can only be down to the hard work and commitment of the community.
In 2011 they scored 213 in 2012 this increased to 228.
In 2013 they scored 238, this year that increased to 252.
