Last weekend John and Shirley Shanahan were at Garvey’s Super Valu in Cobh with guide dog Vasco to help raise vital funds for the Cork based charity.
The winning prize in the 2014 draw is a brand new Ford Focus valued at €20,000 kindly donated by Ford Ireland.
Tickets can be bought on the charity’s website at www.guidedogs.ie or from volunteers who are selling nationwide. Tickets are €5 each and the draw will take place on Saturday, 6 December at the Guide Dogs Headquarters.
John Kiely manager at Garvey’s Super Valu told the East Cork Journal “we had John collecting here for 3 days earlier in the year. The amount of support the charity received from the people of Cobh was amazing. We are delighted to accommodate him again as the Irish Guide Dogs are a very worthwhile charity.”
