Midleton Carers Group unveil their latest project

Midleton Carers group
This fun project was created by the members of the Midleton Carers craft group and is a mixture of fabric, wool and plastic canvas work set on a hessian backdrop depicting various well known landmarks of the town and is currently on display at the Midleton Community Forum.
Our thanks go to Victor McCaffrey of Print Profile and Garry from the GAA for their kind donations of the crests.
Though this support group is centred around crafts there is also the addition of those vital information evenings but the main function of the group is to provide a welcome and relaxed atmosphere where carers can come and enjoy a few hours together each week and, hopefully, come away feeling refreshed and invigorated for the week ahead.
It is an opportunity for people to let off a bit steam and do some networking with those in similar positions.
A variety of crafts is included in this group be it traditional or something a bit out of the ordinary but the emphasis is always on enjoyment- they meet every Tuesday evening from 7:30 till 10:30pm in the Midleton Community forum so why not come and join us, you will be made very welcome.
