12 teenagers are currently taking part in a film making course run over 4 Saturdays at Cumann na Daoine in youghal. The course part funded by the HSE and the Cork Education and Training Bord is being run by Cork young Film makers.
The programme is designed to develop confidence in young film makers in acting, writing and directing.
Director Jane Lee who is co-ordaining the event said “we want to support young people who are interested in film-making where story telling is focused on in a way that develops their confidence in themselves, their experiences and their own ability. In acting young people can develop real-life, believable characters, so that when they are acting they are acting truthfully and with confidence. We want to give opportunities to young-filmmakers to become more confident in creating and crafting their own stories.”
